Wasp Nest

Wasps often surround our home leaving nests everywhere. This provides protection for the wasps but can be a challenge for the humans living in the house. 

How does a wasp nest work?

• How does a wasp protect the wasp?
• How big can they get? How do so many wasps fit in there?
• When do they build their nest? What is the nest made out of?
• Where do wasps build their nest? 

Students could:

• Research how a wasp nest works, protects and is built. 
• Bring in a wasp nest.
• Build their own wasp nests, with clay, mud and art supplies.
